Come show WES some love! Volunteer Work Day Wednesdays NEW TIME 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

The Strong Women of WES Community Fighting Invasive Plants & Debris

Every during the month of September, WES Community will host a Volunteer Work Day at the WES campus to get the site ready for the big 50th Birthday Party on September 26.

Enjoy some fresh air, watch deer graze in the meadow near the cabins, listen to osprey and kingfishers, and help us spruce up the site for THE BIG DAY later this month.

Meet at 8:55 AM at the gate to WES (Paige Bar Road bridge crossing over Clear Creek). Remember to bring a mask, water, and lunch. If you have sturdy gardening gloves and want to bring your own tools that is okay. A battery-powered weed eater is acceptable but no gasoline-powered tools. We will be raking, sweeping, trimming, and pulling out invasive weeds near the pond area and along some of the walkways. Work ends by 11:30 AM and you are invited to sit and enjoy your lunch and enjoy the lovely and peaceful site.

We request that you contact Kathy Hill to let us know you are coming. Her email address is or 530-945-6585. Late arrivals after 9:00 AM will need to telephone Kathy because the gate will be closed.
