Come Visit WESC during Shasta County’s Annual Volunteer Recruitment Event on August 28

Whiskeytown Environmental School Community (WESC) along with many local nonprofit organizations will be participating on August 28 at the “Make a Difference Day” event held at Pathways to Hope for Children, 2280 Benton Drive, Building C, in Redding. The event runs between 9 AM and 12 Noon. There will be raffles and prizes too!

WESC runs on volunteer power! We are seeking board members, committee members, and anyone who might have a couple of hours to spare to help us keep WES Camp looking spiffy plus many other fun projects on the horizon such as tie dye and participation in community celebrations such as the Watershed Festival and Old Time Holiday. Below are photographs of “before” and “after” photos of a porch painting project that took place prior to the Carr Fire.

Cabin porch in need of some love.
