Redbud Recovery Project

Visitors hung tags containing memories of Whiskeytown during the Summer of 2019 to commemorate one year after the Carr Fire that swept through the Park. Several hundred tags were collected over the course of the summer and archived with the National Park Service at WRNA Headquarters.

In 2019, between the Fourth of July and Labor Day, in cooperation with the National Park Service, WES Community sponsored a memory collection project using paper tags hung on Redbud trees near the Whiskeytown National Recreation Area Visitors Center.
